Gerald J. Manney, CADAC II, LADC I, has worked in the substance abuse field for more than 35 years. Jerry is a nationally certified alcohol and drug counselor and a Massachusetts licensed alcohol and drug counselor. He is clinical supervisor for a Substance Abuse Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA) Effective Adolescent Treatment grant (MET/CBT 5) at The L.U.K. Crisis Center in Fitchburg, Massachusetts.
He had been an adjunct instructor in the undergraduate division at Keene State College and an adjunct instructor in the Continuing and Graduate Education Department of Fitchburg State College, teaching courses The Impact of Alcohol and Other Drug Dependencies upon the Family System as well as on substance abuse disorders. He has been published numerous times in professional journals; his primary focus is on understanding and supporting parents of substance-dependant adolescents.
